To play Prince Harry, Fraser—not much of a royal-watcher either—dyed his hair red, perused Harry interviews on the Internet, and banished his Scottish accent for the entire five-week shoot, keeping up his royal British even between takes, on the advice of director Menhaj Huda.
You can have titles, but at the end of the day, [being a royal] is your job. In it, Markle herself keeps her head above the family fracas, not commenting on the drama. The Lifetime movie, which imagines what went on between Harry and Meghan behind closed doors, sympathetically lets Meghan the person, not the public figure, offer her imagined side of the situation. The circle is so tight, in fact, that Fitz-Henley did not even realize that she and the real-life Markle had one very good friend in common until after beginning the film.
But that did not mean that Fitz-Henley pressed the mutual relation for details. When I found out we had this mutual close friend in common, I knew Meghan must be a good girl and cool, because this person is good and cool. Fitz-Henley and Fraser are in the minority, though.

Once Upon a Lifetime
Written by KGF Vissers. When they start from a most unpredictable and intriguing premise a perfect match only in lucid dreams and end it in an epitome of especially thin rom-com formulas, we must admit that the result deserves a special mention as an achievement in spoiling a theme. The actors weren't impressive at all, nor particularly likable, the script and directing are boring, and so on. Everything is overplayed, even the lucid dreams thingy, a state which could not occur so mechanically and regularly every night to anyone.
There is an excellent novel with a similar twist a parallel life in a, well, let's say in a lucid dream, not to spoil it for potential readers. Unfortunately I don't remember now its title or author but I will! That book would be captivating if set on screen, because it's really surprising and well written, unlike this lame trifle of a flick. Start your free trial.
